While our primary focus must be criminal prosecution, it is my firm belief that the District Attorney’s Office should do more than just prosecute crime. Just as we work aggressively to put criminals behind bars, so we should strive equally hard to protect victims’ rights. This has always been the goal of the Lee County District Attorney’s Office.

Under Alabama Law, victims of violent crime have always had rights relative to the way their cases flow through the criminal justice system. Legislation affords violent crime victims additional assistance, if you let us know in writing that you wish to access these services. I strongly support this program and its objectives. If I can further assist you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
